DIY 2GIG Passive Infrared Motion Detectorby 2GIG
For the ultimate level of protection, no home should be without motion detectors. These convenient, sophisticated devices enhance the effectiveness of your security system by providing an invisible blanket of protection inside your home. Each wireless motion sensor is designed to detect all human movement in large open areas or rooms.
The viewing angle of a motion sensor is similar to the range of the human eye, it can cover a room approximately 40 x 40 feet. A motion sensor is perfect to cover an area with multiple openings requiring fewer door or window sensors. Remember that a motion sensor detects human movement within the room it is installed. The best designed security system would have door and window sensors on all accessible openings (full perimeter coverage). Interior motion sensors then provide secondary trap zone.
